Crown Reduction Chelmsford
A crown reduction is the process of physically removing a percentage of a trees external crown normally between 15-30 %, for example for every 10ft of crown a 30% reduction would remove 3ft off the end.
Reasons for having a tree reduced are numerous but most commonly to allow light into a particular area. Tree Reductions also alleviate external weight and end loading of limbs and allow wind to pass through more easily aiding the tree in strong weather.
All tree reductions are carried out to the latest British standards bs3998 2010, the standards offer the advice and guidance on how to best perform tree surgery on trees.
